Washing Instructions
- Pre-treatment: Dissolve the detergent completely in water before adding the quilt cover to avoid direct contact with detergent, which can cause localized fading.
- Soaking Time: Do not soak for more than 1 hour. Prolonged soaking will damage the print colors and cause the fabric to swell and deform.
- Detergent Selection: Do not use detergents containing bleach. Neutral detergents are recommended.
- Water Temperature and Washing Method: Cold or warm water is recommended. When machine washing, select the gentle cycle.
Drying Instructions
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: Dry in a cool, ventilated place. Direct sunlight will cause the print to fade and the fabric to become brittle.
- Dry Inside Out: When drying, turn the quilt cover inside out to reduce direct UV damage to the print.
- Drying Time: Control the drying time to 2-3 hours. Prolonged exposure to sunlight will reduce the fiber's warmth retention.
Storage Methods
- Moisture and Insect Prevention: Place camphor wood strips or lavender sachets inside to avoid direct contact with the fabric.
- Store Away from Light: Use dark storage boxes or a dark environment to prevent fading.
- Regular Inspection: Ventilate the room every 2-3 months to check for moisture or insect infestation.
Regular Replacement
- Replacement Cycle: Replace quilts that are yellowed, clumped, or deformed promptly. It is recommended to replace them every 2-3 years.
- Environmentally Friendly Reuse: Old quilt covers can be repurposed into cleaning cloths or storage bags to reduce waste.
